An old raintree

I dreamt of seeing a huge old raintree, suddenly, collapsing parts by parts, branch by branch, crushing a small box with four wheels. The tree broke apart slowly, intermittently, then a chrushing blow. People were around the box and started to ran away. It was quite a mess, a huge mess in fact. Within minutes, a few bigger boxes with a huge flat plate in front of it came. They cleared the mess efficiently and promptly, in a matter of minutes. It was very fast.

And i woke up.

The Nearness of you

Shocking. Amazing. Astonishing. Impressive!!! While walking in the park, i saw two black persons singing. They sound beautifully romantic. The chemistry between them is unbelievable! They understand each other perfectly; read each other's thoughts, actions ; capable to follow what is left empty. I can't believe what i hear, even though the incomprehensible language they used.

Luckily, my england tutor was around. She told me they are singing in english. It's kinda weird initially. Two black persons singing in english?? I raised one eyebrow upon hearing that.

By the way, they aren't indian. They are african!!! I never know africans could speak english and even sing in it! AND, WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING IN TEMASEK!!! Whatever it is, they really can sing. I love their voices. So i got my england tutor to write down the what they are singing, and here it is:

It's not the pale moon that excites me
That thrills and delights me, oh no
It's just the nearness of you

It isn't your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation, oh no
It's just the nearness of you

When you're in my arms and I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams come true

I need no soft lights to enchant me
If you'll only grant me the right
To hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night the nearness of you

After understanding the song, this sweet melancholy suddenly sets upon me. I felt someone close, but not around.

An Auspicious Day?

Farquhar barged into my office, exclaiming,'Your highness, Today is a lucky day!'

I lifted my head, look at him, annoyed, thinking,'what the hell is wrong with him? what lucky day is today!?'

After catching his breath, he explained the chinese believe eight is an auspicous number. Hence today, 8th August, is a lucky day.

I'm like, what the hell. If eight is a lucky number, what about the rest of the numbers?

Then, he continued explaining, because the pronouciation of eight shares the same sound as fortune in cantonese.

But, it's lucky by the cantonese. what about the rest of the dialects?

I seriously doubt today is a lucky day, cause nothing good happened to me. What if something good happened, does it mean every day of this year i will be lucky? I'm really skeptical about such a belief.

And then, farquhar continued, if you write down your wish today, your wish will be granted. He said,'One of them actually strike rich today because last year, he wish to be rich'.

So, does it mean the wish has a time difference of a year? This is only one example, how do you expect me to buy it. I'm beginning to wonder how did farquhar manage to be in this position, a governor-general! Goodness.

My wish is to have all my wishes fufill. Let's see if it will be fufill, if 8 is indeed a lucky number, an auspicious day.

There is saying,'Better believe than not'. Ha.

Never-ending job

Finally, able to put some time for blogging. Jobbing seems to be eternal; it never stops coming; piles up like a river constantly flowing, till it dries up - god knows when.

This trigger a question: When will the river dries up?

A river will cease to exist under a few circumstances:

a) Lack of refill; havn't been raining for a long time; drought,

b) Covered by landslides; filled with sediments, solids, soil,

c) A new path was created which re-directed it's flow

Let's analyse these circumstances:

a) A drought will happen under nature's control; it will decide when it shall or shall not rain. Beyond the control of earthlings.

b) Landslide is kinda predictable. When the water level rises and lower, soil soften and in due time, it will slide down into, narrowing the river.

c) This is the work of the river itself; flowing through a direction it deems suitable.

Hrmmmmm...doesn't it sound simple? Is it really that simple? Maybe. Anyway, these are my observation and analysis of a river.

PS: I hope i sound coherent, do i?
