Bliss

Today, while reading, suddenly i felt the inner peace warm inside my heart, liberated from hatred of a dead man last wish being denied all in the name of religion. At the same time, this religion has also taught me to love. Thank you very much, C.

All religions teach charity, forgiveness, kindness, love, peace, tolerance, and anything good. They are not just about understanding, but more importantly faith, even when the simple mind or the scientific mind cannot accept.

When we harbour no ill-will, but sincere goodness, then we can feel peace within.

No offence joe, but this does not mean that religions are all the same. As much as it is hard for anyone to live by his/her religion, certain fundamental differences still exist between them.
The differences that make all the difference.
Maybe this is the reason some are willing to die for their faith.

Ahhh...true.

Certainly, everyone will benefits from the religion they choose for it's a place to seek solace. However, to use religion for personal cause is immoral and selfish, for it betray and exploit the faith of others.

So where it the middle line?

I guess where one draws the line is a reflection of his/her faith =)

Hrmm...I hope you dont mind.

Not entirely true. I think it's more of a reflection of his/her respect, for other religions.

I believe one can be faithfully dedicated to the religion, and at the same time, acknowledge that there are people who are practicing like he/she do towards a different religion.

Utama, you said it all.

The line should not trespass the rights of believers of other religions, nor should it condone killings in the name of religions, no matter how one interprets old religious writings.

Giving up one's life to God without hurting anyone else, is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from killing oneself (suicide) along with many other innocent people.

There's always the danger of individuals interpreting what was written thousands of years ago in the holy books, to apply to present day circumstances; and considering that each person has his own interpretation...you can imagine the consequences!
